Evacuation Maps

In an effort to increase the safety of the campus community, the University underwent a complete evaluation in regards to fire and life safety needs in 2003. One outcome of the evaluation was the creation of new evacuation maps for all on-campus buildings.

Evacuation maps are intended to indicate your location in relation to the nearest exit and to provide primary and secondary escape routes.  To obtain downloadable Evacuation Maps, proceed to the Buildings & Grounds section of the website. This is where each building's evacuation map is located.  Once on the site, find the desired building by searching alphabetically with the letters along the top of the page.  After finding the building, click on the Evacuation Maps link below the image and it will redirct you to the map.

In Case of an Emergency

  • Remain calm, don't panic
  • Provide assistance to others
  • Proceed to the nearest exit
  • Continue to your designated Assembly point
  • Do not re-enter the building until instructed to do so

Clearly defined directional exit signs are present on the corridor doors and in the corridors to assist you. Upon exiting the building, proceed to the designate Emergency Assembly Point displayed on the evacuation map.

For those persons that are permanently or temporarily disabled and would like to be further educated on "personal responsibility" and services information then please see the Office of Disabilities Resources.
