3-Point Thursday

  • Remembering Our Beloved: For many, November is a time to honor loved ones who have passed away. Submit names of your deceased family and friends by Oct. 30 to be included in the Book of Remembrance, which will be placed near the Mission altar for the Masses on Nov. 1 and Misa en Español on Nov. 2. Campus Ministry will also dedicate a virtual ofrenda, or altar of remembrance, to memorialize the dead. Share photos of your family's ofrenda or dearly departed family members and tag them #scuspirit #scuofrenda to be included.

  • Creepy-Crawly Compost: Not sure what to do with your food scraps or how to use them sustainably? Join SCU's Office of Sustainability for a virtual composting workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m. PST. Discover how to set up your worm composting bin and learn tips and tricks to get those creepy-crawly critters working for you.
  • Best-Dressed Pets: Is your pet sporting some spooky style this Halloween? Snap a picture and share it with us for a chance to win fun SCU swag in our Halloween Pet Costume Contest. Tag it #spookySCUpets by Monday, Nov. 2, to enter. Winners chosen at random.

Go Broncos!

P.S. Don't forget to VOTE! If you haven't already, make a plan to cast your ballot on or before Tuesday, Nov. 3, as your state allows. It's never too late for eligible voters to make your voices heard!

Be sure to visit our Virtual Resources page frequently to keep up-to-date on ways you can stay connected to your Bronco family.
