Help One Another

  • If you know a Santa Clara student, reach out to them and offer your support and care. Or reach out to a fellow alumnus to share a laugh or a kind word of encouragement. In addition, the University has established the SCU Student Emergency Assistance Fund to help students in particular need.
  • Support a Bronco Business: Alumni-owned small businesses need our help in these uncertain times, so we’re compiling a list of Bronco-owned and affiliated businesses to help meet your essential or takeout needs. Religion, Prayer, and Meditation

If you are interested in viewing the Zoom Mass presided by our wonderful SCU Jesuits, please visit Campus Ministry's website for registration details.

Campus Ministry is planning a series of meditation opportunities on Instagram Live through the summer at 9 A.M. on Instagram, @scuspirit:

  • Mindful Monday J.C. Santos will lead a different mindful practice each week.
  • Wednesday "at the Well" featuring a short interview on Instagram each week with a different colleague about spirituality.
  • Reviewing the Week with the Examen on Fridays J.C. will lead a different version of the Examen each week.

Visit the Ignatian Center's Mission Monday webpage which posts the bi-weekly email series which serves as an opportunity to connect with and celebrate the mission and tradition that unites our campus and the wider Jesuit network. Every other week the ICJE will offer a short reading or other form of content, a few key resources, and a brief reflection video from a member of the Santa Clara community.

Yoga and Workout Opportunities

Bobby Karle, S.J. M.Div. Class of 2021 has developed a yoga method, Ignatian Yoga, which incorporates Christian meditation, Ignatian Spirituality and yoga poses.

  • Join Ignatian Yoga team members from around the country as we explore how the Ignatian spirituality and Yoga can ground and guide us in the midst of this global pandemic.

Bronco Jaden Zhao M.S. ‘14 founded the non-profit Jiaran Yoga Studio in Santa Clara. Jiaran Yoga has started providing Zoom classes (full class, monthly subscription) as well as an Instagram livestream (complimentary partial class) during this time. To join the full yoga classes through Zoom, contact Sarah Bonini and receive the Alumni discounted rate of $30/month.
