Assistant Professor, Management
Shaohua Lu joined Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Management after graduating with a Ph.D. from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and teaching in the Management Department at Tulane University.
Dr. Lu’s research examines firm resource redeployment decision making under uncertainty with a focus on strategic interactions. In particular, she studies utility companies' renewable energy adoption in the U.S. electric utility sector. Her research interests also include how firms capture value from their innovations. She is a member of the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society. Prior to her doctoral studies, Dr. Lu worked as a case writer at the Case Development Center of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
