Project-Based Learning for the Next Generation: Blending Active Learning, Technology, and Social Justice

   Santa Clara University will welcome more than 250 scholars, teachers, practitioners, and students from more than 25 countries to the 2018 International Conference on Active and Project-Based Learning. The conference theme is "PBL for the Next Generation: Blending Active Learning, Technology, and Social Justice."

The deadline for registration for the conference (even if you are not going to present) is January 15th, 2018. The conference will gather K-12 teachers and students, university faculty, researchers, and students as well as practitioners from health care, engineering, and other industries. Sessions will be held in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Pedro Hernández-Ramos, Associate Professor of Education, is the campus host and one of the co-organizers for the event. We are delighted that Dr. Jennifer Merritt, director of Community-Based Learning in SCU’s Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education, will present the opening keynote address on Friday, February 16th at 6:00 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Music and Arts Building.
