Teacher Education

In as little as one year, you can receive a Master’s degree plus a teaching credential. MA degree application requirements:

  • 1. Statement of Purpose
  • 2. Current Resumé or CV
  • 3. One copy of official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • 4. Two letters of recommendation
  • 5. 30 hours working with groups of youth
  • 6. Basic and Subject-Matter Competency (Only applies to 1-Year Track Summer Applicants)

Educational Leadership

Our Administrative Services Credential and/or Master’s in Educational Leadership program will help you define your vision, values, and grow your capacity to lead complex organizations. MA and credential application requirements:

  • 1. Statement of Purpose
  • 2. Current Resumé or CV
  • 3. One copy of official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • 4. Two letters of recommendation
  • 5. Administrative Services Credential Applicants: proof of your valid California Teaching Credential and an Employment Verification Letter

Counseling

This Master’s degree will help you advance in a current position, work in a non-licensed counseling setting, or prepare you for future doctoral studies. MA degree application requirements:

  • 1. Statement of Purpose
  • 2. Current Resumé or CV
  • 3. One copy of official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • 4. Three letters of recommendation
  • 5. Minimum 3.0 Undergraduate GPA

Counseling Psychology

Receive your Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and/or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license to become a practicing therapist. MA degree application requirements:

  • 1. Statement of Purpose
  • 2. Current Resumé or CV
  • 3. One copy of official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • 4. Three letters of recommendation
  • 5. Minimum 3.0 Undergraduate GPA

MATTC candidates applying to the 1-year program track (beginning in the Summer Term) must satisfy the Basic Skills and Subject Matter Competence Requirements by June 4, 2018. 

Decisions will typically be released within a month after the indicated application review date. Applications for the ExCEL program must be submitted no later than February 1, 2018.

Please indicate your interest in the ExCEL program within your online MATTC application.
