Healthcare Ethics Internship Manager
As the Healthcare Ethics Internship Manager, Ryvenna Lewis manages the Center’s Health Care Ethics Internship Program, which brings SCU students into local hospitals and other healthcare settings. As part of that role, Lewis manages clinical rotations, teaches the internship course component, and develops new internship placements. In addition, she helps direct the Center’s Honzel Fellow in Health Care Ethics.
Lewis completed her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at CSU East Bay, and then worked on her Master’s in Philosophy at SF State, followed by a Master’s in Public Administration from CSU East Bay. During her time at SF State, Lewis focused on bioethics and moral psychology. Her current research interests combine ethics with neuroscience, and how to weave them together thoughtfully as medical technology advances.
