Sustainability at SCU

We empower SCU students, faculty, and staff to build a more humane, just, and sustainable world.

The Center for Sustainability hosts events and programs, implements initiatives, provides strategic consultation, and shares stories that help the University achieve climate neutrality, practice mindful consumption, develop a culture of sustainability and use the campus as a living laboratory.

"The Center for Sustainability was where I had my first experience working in the field of sustainability. I credit those years at the Center for showing me the kind of impact a small, dedicated team can have in motivating big physical and cultural changes in an area that might be the most consequential of my generation."

"I feel that I've learned just as much working for the Center as I have through my classes. Being able to integrate class material with my work as an intern has provided a unique educational experience for me. Sustainability is now a guiding principle for how I view and approach the world."
